fluado vs Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat) — A Platform You Operate vs Agents We Operate

You searched for "fluado vs Mistral." Both companies are European, both take data sovereignty seriously, and both show up when you evaluate AI for your enterprise. The difference is not where the models run. It is who sets the agents up, who operates them, and who answers for what they did.

What is Mistral Vibe today?

Vibe is Mistral's work and coding agent, rebranded from Le Chat in May 2026 and sold per seat: Free, Pro at $14.99 per month, Team at $24.99 per user per month, and Enterprise on request. It has a Work Mode and a Code Mode. Work Mode drafts and delivers finished work from a conversation, researches across sources, and generates documents. Code Mode writes, tests and deploys, with async agents that "write, test, and open PRs while your team is offline."

It also automates: Vibe can "route data across tools, trigger actions, and complete multi-step processes," and teams can "package workflows into reusable agents, or set tasks to run on a trigger." It connects to 100+ tools including email, calendar, Slack, GitHub and Jira, with full MCP compatibility. Enterprise customers can deploy on-premises, in a private cloud or on Mistral Cloud, with data residency in the cloud or datacentre of their choice. Mistral also sells AI Studio for teams putting their own agents into production, with tracing, evaluation and runtime guardrails.

What does fluado do instead?

fluado builds AI agents around a process you already run, deploys them into the systems that process touches, and operates them as a service. A product specification arrives in Outlook; the agent reads it, validates it against your quality standards in SharePoint, flags the exceptions, routes the result to the right person in Teams, and writes every step to an audit trail.

You do not package the workflow. You do not set the trigger. You do not maintain the connectors when the process changes. You describe the process and review outcomes.

Does Vibe's agent automation change this comparison?

It changes what the tools can do and leaves the accountability question untouched. Vibe triggers actions and completes multi-step processes, so "one assists, the other acts" is no longer the honest distinction. The distinction that holds is the operating model.

On Vibe, someone in your organisation packages the workflow, grants the connectors their access, decides what the agent may touch, and owns the result. That is what a per-seat licence buys: the capability, not the work. fluado is the other arrangement — we scope the agent with you, deploy it, run it, and produce the record when a regulator, an auditor or your own management asks what it decided and why.

The question worth asking about either is not what the agent can do this quarter. It is who is on the hook when it does something wrong.

Who carries the EU AI Act deployer obligations?

Your organisation is the deployer in both cases — that does not transfer to a vendor. What differs is who does the work those obligations create: the logging, the human-oversight design, the technical documentation, the record of what the agent decided.

On a self-serve platform that work lands on whoever configured the workflow, which in practice means it lands nowhere until someone asks for it. With fluado it is part of the engagement: decisions are logged as the agent runs, oversight points are designed in rather than retrofitted, and the documentation is maintained as the process changes. The Dutch data protection authority has stated plainly that autonomous agents with broad system access leave the deploying organisation fully accountable.

Where does the data run?

Mistral is a French company and offers EU data residency, with private, on-premises and self-hosted deployment on its Enterprise plan.

fluado's website, backend, database and authentication run on our own servers at Hetzner in Germany (Falkenstein and Nürnberg). Model inference runs on Google Cloud Vertex AI in the EU multi-region under standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The full list, with server locations, is at /processors. Your business data stays in your systems; the agent works against them.

Who we are

fluado is a German company. When you work with us, you work with the founding team. Our phone number is on the website. We pick up.

We deploy AI agents that handle operational work — document reviews, compliance checks, specification management — across Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Slack, SAP and the rest of the stack your team actually uses. Not a workspace your team learns. Work that comes off the table.

Frequently asked questions

Can Mistral Vibe agents do what fluado agents do?

Vibe packages workflows into reusable agents, runs them on triggers, and connects to over 100 tools via MCP. The work your team still owns is the scoping, the access decisions, the integration with the systems your process actually crosses, and the oversight and documentation record the EU AI Act expects of a deployer. fluado delivers the agent with that work already done, operated as a service.

What does Vibe cost compared to fluado?

Vibe is priced per seat: Free, Pro at $14.99 per month, Team at $24.99 per user per month with a $50 monthly minimum, and Enterprise on request. fluado is priced per project, against a defined process — not per seat, because operational capacity doesn't come from giving more people a licence. Contact us for a quote based on your process.

Does fluado also offer a chat interface?

Yes. You can talk to fluado agents, ask questions, give instructions, and review what they've done. The agents also work without being prompted — processing documents, applying rules, routing results. Chat is how you stay in control. The unprompted work is what gives you capacity back.

Both are EU-based. What's the real difference?

Data residency is comparable and both companies fall under EU jurisdiction. The difference is who operates the agents and who holds the record. Vibe is a platform your team builds on and licenses per seat. fluado runs the agents, logs the decisions, and maintains the compliance documentation required of a deployer. The compliance surface is managed, not self-serve.

Mistral offers on-premises deployment. Does fluado?

Mistral's Enterprise plan includes private and on-premises deployment for organisations that want to run the infrastructure themselves. fluado does not ask you to run infrastructure at all: the agents run on our servers in Germany and connect to your Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and SAP, so your data stays in your systems. The question isn't where the model runs — it's where your data lives and who is accountable for what the agent does.
